What is GRIT?

Is your son/daughter struggling with addiction? Are they having an identity crisis? Do they need to learn the tools to navigate through breakthroughs and hardships?

GRIT 12-step program is coming soon! And it is only a 12-week commitment!

If your son/daughter is age 14-18 and in 9th-12th grade, they can participate in GRIT!

By walking through the 12-step program, healing can be found through this biblical curriculum! We have witnessed freedom from personal struggles like pride, control, identity issues, codependency, substance abuse, depression, grief, anxiety, sexual sin, broken homes, and many more.

What does the 12 week program consist of?

TESTIMONY AND TEACHING
(30 MINUTES)

GRIT will start with praise and worship. Then, a teaching or a testimony from a Small Group Leader or former participant. Ending, in a time of teaching which showcases and explains one of the 12 steps.

SMALL
STEP GROUPS
(60 MINUTES)

Small Step Groups are determined by age and gender. These small groups will have 10 students led by 2 adult Step Group Leaders. In group, participants share what they are learning in daily book work, as well as any challenges they faced in the previous week. Small group is a place for each teen participant to be acknowledged, accepted, and affirmed to continue walking the steps toward freedom and healing.

BOOK WORK
(3 DAYS OF
GRIT DAILY WORK)

Throughout the week, teens complete 3 daily lessons per week (one lesson takes about 10 minutes) and a “footprint” that serves as a marker for their progress toward healing.

Lessons are designed to help teens understand and practice the daily steps of healing given to us by God and scripture.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY TEEN COMPLETES GRIT?

This program does not give a quick fix to their struggles. Teens who fully commit and engage in this program will learn about God's amazing love, goodness, and power in our daily life. Teens will achieve and be taught the tools to navigate life with God.

Screening of the Step Small Group Leaders

1. Vetting Process

All leaders go through a vetting process. These leaders will be trained or previous participants of this 12-step program.

2. Criminal Background Check

All leaders will go through a Background Check.

3. Policies & Procedures

Leaders are required to review GRIT's safety policies and procedures (along with our ministry requirements for leadership) and sign a statement of acknowledgement and agree with all policies and procedures.
